Newly sold home burns down in Harrison

UPDATE:

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Waconda Point Road house fire ended up being worked by several agencies due to severity of the fire.

Hamilton County fire officials said that crews faced high winds and a lack of fire hydrants.

Chattanooga Fire crews and Dallas Bay VFD crews attacked the fire from fire boats on the water.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is now investigating to determine what caused the fire.

There were no injuries, according to Hamilton County officials.

However, this house is a total loss.

There was no one living in the home at the time of the fire. The homeowners told firefighters they had just sold the house on the same day as the fire.

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — Firefighters were battling a house fire in Harrison on Monday evening, according to the Hamilton County Office of Emergency Management.

The Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department had crews at the home at 6638 Waconda Point Road, near Harrison Bay.

No one was in the house at the time of the fire, which happened shortly after 4 p.m.

The house fire was fully involved, HCOEM said.

Firefighters had to perform a tanker operation to supply firefighters with more water.
