HCHD confirms new method of Monkeypox Vaccine delivery will make vaccine more accessible
In an effort to expand availability for Monkeypox vaccines, the state of Tennessee has changed the delivery method of the vaccinations to intradermal, meaning right underneath the skin. This is the way a tuberculosis test is administered. Hamilton County Health Department confirmed this method uses less of the vaccine. According to the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response, Tennessee has requested nearly eleven thousand doses. As of Thursday, Tennessee has 107 cases.
