HCS Reviews Potential Custodial Contracts

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Hamilton County Schools is taking a major step to ensure its facilities remain clean, safe, and welcoming for students and staff.

After reviewing 13 applications, the board has narrowed down two potential candidates.

As part of the selection process, two companies presented their proposals today, outlining their plans to provide top-tier cleaning services across all Hamilton County Schools.

The district is seeking new custodial services for all its locations, reinforcing its commitment to maintaining a sanitary learning environment.

Johnathan Romines, ABM Regional Vice President, stated that “what I would say is that is it full proof it’s not are we gonna have issues we will but you know the difference between us and everyone else is how we respond to those issues I mean, we called these clients and asked them if they weren’t perfect.”

“I promise you. none of them are and I’m not gonna stand up here and tell you. that we’re gonna be perfect on day one we may not be perfect on day 60 but I’ll tell you that we’re gonna keep working to get there.”

For Hamilton County Schools, and tonight, district leaders are taking steps to ensure just that.

The goal is to ensure that classrooms, common areas, and restrooms meet the highest standards of hygiene, creating a healthier environment for students and staff.

The Hamilton County School Board is currently reviewing the information presented at today’s meeting and plan to have a decision by March.

We will keep you updated as soon as the board has made its decision.
