HCSO deputies respond to shooting at Airbnb

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a shots fired call on Friday, Sept. 29 in East Brainerd.

The call came from 9910 Brently Estates Drive off of East Brainerd Rd.

When authorities arrived at the scene, they found that a fight occurred in the front yard of the residence (9910 Brently Estates Drive) which was being used as an Airbnb.

Witnesses said within minutes of the fight multiple gunshots were heard in the area.

Further investigation indicated that at least four different homes were hit multiple times along with vehicles.

Around 60 bullet casings were found along the street including various calibers.

Evidence revealed that at least one shooter was on foot and video surveillance showed two different vehicles may have been involved in the shooting.

HCSO Investigative Services personnel were notified and responded to investigate the scene and process information.

The shell casings were spread out for approximately one block.

HCSO states that this is an ongoing investigation and no further details are available at this time.
