CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- Around noon on Tuesday, the Hamilton County School Resource Deputy at Chattanooga Preparatory School arrested a student for threatening mass violence on the school.

The threat was made by a 14-year-old student in their classroom. The student said they were going to “Burn down the classroom” in a room full of other students and a teacher.

The juvenile student was arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center and charged with making a Threat of Mass Violence on School Property.

As this pertains to a juvenile, no further details are available.
