HCSO SRD Responds to Incident at Ooltewah High School

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) School Resource Deputy (SRD) assigned to Ooltewah High School responded to a report of a student on campus potentially armed with a handgun on Tuesday, November 18.

A pellet gun was located in the student’s backpack after school staff and the HCSO SRD conducted a search.

According to police, it was later discovered that the student had brandished the pellet gun and pointed it at another student’s face as if it were a real firearm.
