Hendon Hooker Looking Forward to Another Year on Rocky Top
The Vols 2022 football season got a huge shot in the arm when quarterback Hendon Hooker announced he would return for one more year on Rocky Top.
With Hooker at the helm, he helped make Tennessee’s up-tempo offense one of the best in the nation. Vols finished 8th in the country in scoring, averaging 39 points a game. Hooker threw for over 25-hundred yards with 26 touchdowns. He also added over 500 yards rushing.
You know his head coach was digging the news of his return.
Reporter:”How did you break the news to Josh Heupel, and how did he react to it?”
Said Hooker:”Yeah it was very casual.Just kind of walking off the field. He was like what are you going to do this summer? I’m going to come back next year. He was like okay. I’m excited. Let’s go. Let’s go to Atlanta. I was like yes sir. Let’s make it happen. I’m happy with the decision. I’m excited to come back next year and get it going again.”
