HES to waive many pet adoption fees on Valentine’s Day
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – As we are gearing up for the holiday of love next week, one local animal shelter is waiving their fees for their “lonely heart” animals.
On February 14, the Chattanooga Humane Educational Society (HES) will offer free adoptions for animals who have been in their care for over 90 days.
Adoption fees for all other pets will be only $14 in honor of Valentine’s Day.
HES currently has 27 Lonely Heart animals on-site or in foster care that qualify for free adoption on Valentine’s Day.
“We really want people to consider our lonely hearts because they been here longer than three months,” said Jeanine Cloyd, Community Outreach Education Manager at HES. “It is time for them to find their forever love.”
The shelter is hoping to bring much-needed love and attention to some of their longest shelter animals.
“We are a wonderful shelter. We have got plenty of options for animals that fit into different types of homes, single family homes and for children,” said Chris Atib, Director of Development at HES. “Our counseling adoption team will help find the perfect animal that fits within your home.”
Arizona, their current longest resident, has been in care for more than 1,000 days.
During the rest of month, adoption fees for all animals, excluding puppies, will be just $29.
