High Tech Bottle Keeps the Music Hot and the Ice Cold

Chris Gronkowski has new tech and a new invention that you can carry all day every day

CHATTANOOGA, TN – Did you know that buying one reusable bottle can save up to 156 plastic bottles per person per year?  Are you tired of plastic bottles not keeping your drink cold and sweating all over your desk or your car? Have you ever held a bottle in your hand and wondered “why can’t this play my music too?”

Well our friends at the revolutionary Ice Shaker have a solution for you.

Chris Gronkowski is a name that might sound familiar. The former fullback got his first NFL start with the Dallas Cowboys on September 24th 2010 and scored his first NFL touchdown in the same game. His NFL Career would see him play for the Cowboys, the colts, the Denver Broncos and the San Diego Chargers.  Ultimately an ankle injury would sideline him in San Diego but a rainy day can’t keep a good man from being successful.

The world was on workout away from the next successful idea.

“I was done with my NFL career and still working out a lot. I was going to the gym and every time I went, I’d grab a plastic shaker bottle fill it up with whatever I was drinking and it would have ice in it. By the time I got to the gym it was sweating everywhere, took a sip of it my bottle would be warm, all the ice had melted,” Gronkowski says.  “At the time I knew there was insulated bottles on the market but there was nothing that could actually blend or mix powders.  You either had to try to stick your hand over a hole and shake it, or you had this little tiny bottle with a little tiny opening and you had to put a special brush in it to try to clean it and you had to use a funnel to try to fill it and it really didn’t break up or blend powders. I was at the gym, I took a sip out of a plastic bottle one day and it was warm and at that moment I said I gotta make something that will actually keep my drinks cold but also give me the ability to blend and mix any time I want to.”

Chris had gotten an offer to take his idea on the TV Show Shark Tank back in 2012 but he was still playing football.  After his career was done, he reached back out with the idea but it was five years later.  Chris was working his idea out of his house.

“At that point I was about three months in, I had about 25,000 in sales. I guess it was interesting enough for them to want to put me on the show.  About three months later I got to pitch the sharks. I ended up getting an offer from all five of them and closing a deal with Mark Cuban and Alex Rodriguez,” says Gronkowski.

Ice Shaker which you can find on social media had one product available in one color and one size to two years after having over 100 different products entering his seventh year in business.  It’s not just celebrity hype, and TV shows there is some science behind the product that makes it work.

“I think the biggest thing that people don’t understand is the vacuum insulation. So, metal itself is a conductor.  If you had a single wall metal bottle and you put ice in it, your hands would actually get extremely cold.  That bottle would be extremely cold to the touch and it would not hold ice very long. The technology is actually two walls of metal,” Chris continued. “They vacuum seal and suck the air out of the two walls so it creates a vacuum and that’s when they say vacuum seal between the two walls. With a vacuum heat and cold can’t transfer thru it so really the only spot you lose heat or cold is thru the lid which isn’t vacuum sealed.  That’s the technology itself to hold ice for over 30 plus hours.”

The speaker came from an existing partnership with a company called Bump Box.  They had consumer demand for a blue tooth speaker so an existing friendship led them to add a speaker that you can take off and throw in your pocket while you go for a run, or to keep separate from your ice-cold drink while you’re training.

We have definitely put these thru their paces and it does live up to everything he said.  It keeps ice inside cold for over 30 hours and the silicone base in the latest version doesn’t leave a ring on our desk or in our cupholder.

You can order yours in numerous colors, logos from your favorite sports team and they can even customize one with your favorite tech segment logo on it. It’s the ultimate bottle for everything that you can use all day every day.
