Home burglary suspect caught asleep

Bradley County, TN (WDEF) – Bradley County deputies arrest a burglary suspect found asleep on the victim’s porch Tuesday morning.

Officials say 48-year-old James Donald Roderick Chambers was found at a Polk County Avenue home surrounded by a purse, food items and perfume that had been taken from the residence and two automobiles.

He faces charges of Aggravated Burglary, Theft over $500, and two counts of Auto Burglary.

Officials say he entered the home through an unlocked door while the residents were asleep.

All the property was returned.

Sheriff Eric Watson expressed his appreciation to the residents for their assistance apprehending the suspect. “With their help, deputies were able to clear the case and transport Mr. Chambers straight to jail.”
