Home under renovation burns on Mowbray Mountain

SODDY-DAISY, Tennessee (WDEF) – A home on Mowbray Mountain burned around 2:40 Wednesday morning.

The home was at 10716 Grant Road.

Fire crews had a hard time confirming the location at first.

Mowbray and Sequoyah volunteers battled the blaze.

Officials say the home just transferred to a new owner last week and was being renovated.

Now it is a total loss.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
