Homeless man rescued from swollen Creek in East Ridge
EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (WDEF) – Members of the STARS rescue team pulled a homeless man from a tree in a swollen Creek Thursday morning.
His wife says the Florida couple had been living under a bridge near the flea market in East Ridge.
She didn’t know how he got into the water, but rescuers found him perched in a tree in the flooded creek.
After about an hour, they got him out and sent him to the hospital to be checked out.
