Homicide investigation in Cleveland after morning shooting

CLEVELAND, Tennessee (WDEF) -UPDATE:

Cleveland Police now identified the deceased as 45 year old James Cheatham. His wife and teenage son were in the home at the time of the shooting. She called 911 and is being questioned. Police have obtained a search warrant in the case. No charges or suspect named at this point.

Cleveland police are investigating a homicide after a man was found fatally shot Monday morning at a home.

It happened in the 800 block of Sunset Avenue.

Police got a call around 6 AM that a man was shot in the home.

Officers found him, deceased, on the floor.

Investigators consider it a domestic situation and are now interviewing several people who were in the home at the time.

They do not have a suspect in the shooting at this point.
