Homicide on Water Street

UPDATE: Chattanooga Police now say the location of the shooting was 3700 Highland Avenue .

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Chattanooga Police responded to a shooting resulting in the death of a 17-year-old-male.

The call of a shooting came on Monday at 8:57 PM on 278 Water Street.

Police were told that a suspicious vehicle drove through the area and opened fire, resulting in the teen getting shot.

Responding officers gave life-saving measures to the teen, but his injuries were too severe and he died shortly after.

The case is currently being investigated with no additional information being available.
