Honors Course Preparing to Host U.S. Senior Amateur
Ooltewah, TN-(WDEF-TV) The Honors Course in Ooltewah is set to host the U.S. Senior Amateur this month.
Golf personality Charlie Rymer spearheaded a presser on the tournament Thursday.
The U.S. Senior Am will get underway on August 24th.
This will mark the sixth USGA tournament that the Honors Course will have hosted.
And since it’s a USGA event, golfers will find a difficult set-up.
Said USGA Championship director Rob Doone:You are going to see 156 of the best senior amateur players in the world. Testing their ability on a very challenging golf course. It’s going to be pretty demanding for them. We want to be able to test what’s between the ears too, and the Honors Course is probably one of the finest tests to be able to do that. That’s why the USGA enjoys coming ot the Honors Course, and why we are going to continue to do so.”
