House fire in Ooltewah

OOLTEWAH, Tennessee (WDEF) – Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department has been fighting a house fire for most of the afternoon.

It happened before 3:30 PM at 6410 Ooltewah/Georgetown Road.

When firefighters got there, 35% of the home was on fire.

The fire began in the garage, but, luckily, no one was at home.

Damages are listed as $150,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
