How porch pirates are changing our travel plans over the holidays

TEANECK, New Jersey (WDEF) – How far will Americans go to protect themselves from porch pirates?

Hanwha Vision is investigating.

They found that 59.5% are willing to pay extra for secure delivery options.

40.5% say that safety was a big factor in whether they shopped online or in stores.

But that number rises to 61% for Gen Z.

The Hanwha analysis found we’re even changing our travel times around delivery dates.

Some weekend trips are even being cancelled in favor of a home delivery.

More of us are also using pickup hubs, lockers or relatives’ homes for deliveries or even recruiting neighbors to watch for packages at home.
