Howard High’s Hustlin’ Tigers roar into national mascot tournament
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — School spirit is going national, and Chattanooga’s Howard School is stepping into the spotlight.
The Hustlin’ Tigers are one of just four schools from Tennessee selected to compete in The64 National High School Mascot Tournament, an interactive, bracket-style showdown launching April 24, 2025.
Hosted by The64, a new online voting platform, the tournament pits 64 high school mascots from across the country against one another in a battle for the title of Best High School Mascot—and a cash prize for their school.
Representing Chattanooga, the Hustlin’ Tigers will face off against mascots like the Cyclones (Elizabethton), Roadrunners (Memphis), and Commandos (Hendersonville) in a nationwide contest where fans, students, and alumni can vote to advance their favorites through the rounds.
“This mascot rivalry isn’t just a competition—it’s a national celebration of school pride and community spirit. We’re giving schools and their fans a chance to showcase their spirit in a fun, interactive way while engaging in some friendly competition.”
-Justin Woo, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and founder of The64.
Fans can sign up at www.The64.com to vote in each round, which will narrow the field from 64 to 1 champion over 18 days, with a new round beginning every 3 days.
Each vote also earns participants a chip to spin the Prize Wheel for the chance to win prizes.
