Humane Educational Society announces fundraiser: the Fast and Furriest
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The Humane Educational Society (HES) has announced their fundraiser coming up in March: the Fast and Furriest.
This fundraiser is a 5K/1-mile run at Greenway Farms on March 22nd.
Registration fees benefit the Humane Educational Society.
They share the following quick information:
- 5K is a chip-timed competitive race through the Chattanooga Track Club. The 1-mile is a non-competitive fun-run
- Dog-friendly event: people can bring their dogs to run/walk with them if they want
- HES will have adoptable shelter dogs to “rent out” for the day to take with them on the 1-mile course
- Top 3 finishers for men and women for the 5K will win a prize
- Event registration includes free t-shirt, swag bag, raffle entries, complimentary coffee and donuts, PLUS a post-race lunch
- Fundraising: people can register as an individual OR as a team and help raise money for HES. They will get a personalized donation link to share with friends and family once they register, and whichever person or team that raises the most funds by race day gets another cool prize.
-
- People can also register to JUST fundraise without participating in the 5K or 1-mile and still be eligible to win the prize (this is great for people who can’t make it to the event but still wish to support HES)
