Hundreds march to participate in nationwide #MarchForOurLives event
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Thousands of students, teachers and other concerned citizens marched across the country today carrying signs to say “enough” to gun violence as part of the #MarchForOurLives movement.
After giving the numbers for every mass shooting since Sandy hook, they named the people killed in Chattanooga due to gun violence this year. They also highlighted the shooting that killed 5 servicemen in 2015.

Hundreds participated here in Chattanooga at a local march from Coolidge Park,across town to the stairs of the historic Hamilton County Courthouse.

A group of students from Chattanooga say they will meet with Governor Bill Haslam on April 2nd.

They are hoping to encourage him to take a stand against arming teachers and for banning assault rifles.
