Hutcheson ordered to lay employees off

Fort Oglethorpe, GA (WDEF) – Hutcheson Medical Center is reportedly facing an order to start laying employees off Monday.

A Walker County attorney says Hutcheson is going to ask for the hospital to be able to stay open for another 2 weeks.

That would mean instead of closing its doors for good on December 4th, the North-Georgia medical center wouldn’t close until the 21st.

It will also give bids on the hospital a little more time.
