I-24 and I-75 Construction Continues into New Year

The I-24 and I-75 road construction project wasn’t supposed to stretch into the new year, but it has.

The good news is that state officials expect the long-delayed project to finally end this spring.

They tell the Time Free Press that work on I 24 is basically finished.

All lanes and ramps are now open.

But they still need to work on North and South Terrace.

The I-75 work has been more of a problem.

A bridge over a CSX railroad line has been delayed by disputes with the railroad.

That should be finished by the spring.
