The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) will close the I-24 West entrance ramp from Germantown Road (Exit 183) for construction of noise walls in the area.

The ramp closure is expected to last approximately eight weeks.

A signed detour will be in place to help guide drivers.

Detour instructions for those traveling on North Terrace toward Germantown Road are as follows:

  • Turn left onto Germantown Road

  • Turn left onto South Terrace

  • Continue to South Moore Road

  • Turn left onto the South Moore Road bridge

  • Turn left onto North Terrace

  • Merge left onto the new I-24 West entrance ramp (across from Marlboro Avenue)

TDOT encourages drivers to use caution, follow posted signs, and expect potential delays.

The project timeline is weather-dependent and could be extended if there are delays due to inclement weather or unforeseen issues.

Uniformed police officers will be on-site to help manage traffic and ensure safety.
