$20,000 Household Robot Neo Goes On Sale For Daily Chores
Company 1X launched Neo, a humanoid home robot priced at $20,000 or $499 monthly, on October 28th. The robot represents the first commercially available household chore assistant. Neo features four microphones, three speakers, and fish-eye cameras for navigation and interaction. The machine can lift up to 50 pounds and performs tasks like taking out trash, watering plants, and carrying boxes. “NEO is a safe humanoid robot that does your chores and offers personalized assistance,” the company states. Each unit includes a washable knit suit and customizable shoes. The robot introduces itself saying, “I’m Neo.
