Athletic Florida Couple Poses With Guns Outside Daycare

Miguel Ruiz and Estrella Pereira claim they didn’t mean to trigger the emergency lockdown protocol of a Miami daycare: They were just posing for social media…with guns.

“We’re body builders and we’re into the social media thing,” Pereira said. Apparently, Ruiz thought it would be “cool to take a picture with a gun, because with muscles and guns and it sounds really cool like if you look at a photograph like that.”

However, their photoshoot caused a panic at Devon Aire Kiddy College as employees feared for children’s lives. The couple reportedly aimed two rifles at the building.

Fortunately, no one was injured. The couple has been charged with aggravated assault with a firearm and exhibiting a firearm near school property. (The Daily Beast)
