China Is Sending Two Pandas To DC
Two pandas will be arriving at the National Zoo later this year! Female Qing Bao and male Bao Li will make the trip from China to Washington D.C. sometime in 2024. Bao Li’s parents and grandparents have lived at the National Zoo, so hopefully the U.S.A. will feel like home! “With this latest round of panda conservation cooperation, as we mark the 45th anniversary [of] diplomatic ties, American friends will get to see pandas more often,” Chinese Ambassador Xie Feng said.
