Chipotle Asks Employees To Give Up Chicken

An email sent to Chipotle employees last week asks workers not to eat chicken for their discounted or free meals. Per Bloomberg, the email suggests that the reason is so locations can “keep up with our guests’ demand for this popular protein option.”

The request applies to office workers as well—Monday lunches offered to white-collar Chipotle staffers will no longer offer chicken.

“It’s disrespectful, just on a personal level,” one Michigan employee said.

A company rep says the issue is temporary and should be resolved within a week. (newser)
