Condo Blocking Mount Fuji Will Be Torn Down

A 10-story building in Japan will be torn down weeks before the first resident was set to move in…because it’s blocking the scenery. The almost-completed condominiums are blocking views of Mount Fuji, the tallest mountain in Japan. “We were aware of the culture that values scenery, but we failed to consider it adequately. We also apologize to the contracting parties,” developer Sekisui House said in a statement. Those who purchased units will be refunded. (UPI)
