Customs Officers Arrest Traveler For Illegal Drugs…Twice
Customs officers reportedly arrested the same passenger twice at the same airport in one week for carrying illicit drugs. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials allege that a traveler from Europe entered Seattle with ketamine, codeine, and GHB. Less than a week later, he was seized again at the same airport trying to leave with more ketamine. The traveler has since been turned over to the Port of Seattle Police Department and faces possession charges. “CBP officers also utilize their unique border search authority to prevent persons from taking dangerous drugs out of the United States,” Brian Humphrey of Seattle’s CBP field office said.
