Singer D4vd has been identified as a suspect in the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose remains were discovered in his Tesla’s trunk, according to a LAPD source. Police found Hernandez’s body September 8 in the vehicle at a Los Angeles impound lot after it was towed for being parked several weeks. She was reported missing, last seen April 5, 2024. (Story URL)
Christian Bale is in discussions to join Michael Mann’s Heat 2, the long-awaited follow-up to the 1995 crime classic starring Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. Bale, who worked with Mann on Public Enemies, could reunite with the director alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, also being considered for a lead role. Amazon MGM Studios and United Artists plan to begin filming in 2026. (Story URL)
Bill Maher says he has no plans to return to stand-up comedy because of the nation’s deep political divide. Speaking with Patton Oswalt on his Club Random podcast, the Real Time with Bill Maher host explained, “I don’t want to be out there in this country in this political atmosphere. The Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art has set “Costume Art” as the theme for the 2026 Met Gala. The announcement, made November 18th, links the gala to the museum’s upcoming Costume Institute exhibition opening May 10th. Andrew Bolton, curator in charge, said in a press release that the exhibition will be the first in the Condé M. Nast Galleries. (Story URL)
Billy Bob Thornton is setting the record straight about the necklaces he and Angelina Jolie wore during their marriage. Speaking with Rolling Stone, Thornton said the rumored “blood vials” never existed. “We each had a little locket, literally with a drop of blood in them,” he explained. “That’s a romantic little idea, and that’s all that was.” Thornton said they remain close friends. NBC has scheduled the 78th Emmy Awards for Monday, September 14, 2026, airing live nationwide from the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live. The ceremony will also stream live on Peacock. The date shift to Monday accommodates NBC’s Sunday Night Football schedule. The Creative Arts Emmys will take place September 5 and 6. A host has not yet been named. (Story URL)
Daniel Dae Kim will host and produce a new CNN travel series called K-Everything, scheduled to premiere in 2026. The four-part program will examine how South Korea has become a driving force in global pop culture. Netflix has ordered a limited series adaptation of Ira Levin’s novel The Boys From Brazil, starring Jeremy Strong. The five one-hour episodes will also feature Gillian Anderson, Daniel Brühl, August Diehl, Lizzy Caplan, and Shira Haas. The story follows Holocaust survivor and Nazi hunter Yakov Liebermann, played by Strong, as he pursues Nazi fugitives over three decades. (Story URL)
