A grand jury has indicted Sigfredo Ceja Alvarez, 57, on one count of murder in the death of actor Jonathan Joss. Authorities say Joss, known for his roles in King of the Hill and Parks and Recreation, was shot outside his San Antonio home on June 1st. Joss’ husband told investigators he witnessed the shooting and cited “years of threats” from Alvarez over Joss’ sexuality. (Story URL)


Smokey Robinson faces new sexual battery allegations as two more plaintiffs join an ongoing civil lawsuit. Court documents obtained by TMZ show a fifth Jane Doe and a John Doe have added their claims. John Doe says he began working for Robinson and his wife in 2013 at their Chatsworth home. He alleges Robinson repeatedly exposed himself and made sexual advances. (Story URL)


Justine Lindsay, the NFL’s first openly transgender cheerleader, says she was dismissed from the Carolina Panthers’ TopCats because of her gender identity. Speaking on Instagram Live with Gaye Magazine, Lindsay said she never planned to leave voluntarily:“I was devastated. It stung. I was hurt.” Lindsay noted that her release came soon after Donald Trump was re-elected. (Story URL)


Thomas Bezucha, writer and director of the 2005 holiday film The Family Stone, confirmed that he is developing a sequel. He said work began before Diane Keaton’s death on Oct. 11 at age 79 from bacterial pneumonia. The original movie featured Keaton as Sybil Stone, a mother facing breast cancer during a family Christmas gathering. Bezucha hopes to “honor [Keaton] even more.” (Story URL)


Ricky Gervais’ new stand-up special, Mortality, will debut on Netflix on December 30th. The show, filmed in 2025 at the London Palladium, explores Gervais’ views on life, death, and the world with his trademark dark humor. Gervais said, “I think ‘Mortality’ is my most honest and confessional show so far and also my favourite tour.” He’s donating part of the proceeds to charity. (Story URL)


Kevin Costner is in discussions to play former President Bill Clinton in the political drama series United, produced in partnership with the United Nations. Costner will also serve as executive producer alongside Leonardo DiCaprio. A solid-gold toilet created by conceptual artist Maurizio Cattelan sold for $12.1 million at a Sotheby’s auction in New York. The 18-karat piece, titled “America,” matched a version once used to mock Donald Trump. Bidding opened at $9.9 million, the value of its 2,440 ounces of gold. The seller was Steve Cohen, billionaire owner of the New York Mets, while the buyer remains anonymous. (Story URL)
