Experts May Have Cracked Voynich Manuscript Mystery
The 600-year-old Voynich manuscript has confused researchers for centuries, but a new study claims to have cracked the code.
Lead author Dr. Keagan Brewer of Macquarie University argues that the text contains information on sex, contraception, and gynecology. The text was encrypted in an unknown language which has baffled scientists for years.
“The Voynich manuscript is fundamentally all about restricting specific information considered dangerous to an elect reader or readers,” Dr. Brewer said.
Many illustrations show nude women pointing toward their vaginas. Around the 15th century, medical writing on sex and birth was subject to censorship. Strange plants in the manuscript could represent various parts of female anatomy. (dailymail.co.uk)
