Family Wraps Bird In Tortilla To Save Its Life

A Texas family wrapped a baby bird in a warm tortilla until animal experts could arrive. The family found the bird on Saturday while barbecuing and noticed the animal appeared to be cold. The mother of the family put a tortilla on the grill and used it as a “burrito blanket.” “Undoubtedly, it was an inventive method to keep the baby warm, and surprisingly, it was effective,” Wild West Wildlife Rehabilitation Center said in a post. The baby bird turned out to be a Mississippi kite, a bird native to Texas, and has been named Taquito. (NY Post)
