Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo was supposed to swim in the River Seine to prove the water was clean enough for the Olympics, but she has rescheduled her dip for July. President Emmanuel Macron has also said he would take a swim, but has not said when. It’s unclear if Hidalgo’s rescheduling had anything to do with the #JeChieDansLaSeineLe23Juin movement on social media, where protestors claimed they would take a poo in the Seine on June 23rd.
