Las Vegas Police Deploy Nation’s Largest Cybertruck Fleet With $2.7M Donation
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police will begin patrolling with 10 Tesla Cybertrucks in November, creating America’s largest police Cybertruck fleet. Tech billionaire Ben Horowitz and wife Felicia donated the $2.7 million fleet to Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill’s department. “Welcome to the future of policing,” McMahill said at a press conference. Each truck costs between $80,000 and $115,000 and features bulletproof protection, unlike regular squad cars. About 400 officers received training to operate the vehicles, which carry shotguns, shields, and ladders. The trucks will respond to barricades, shootings, and regular patrols using public charging stations. (Story URL)
