Little Girl Denied Passport For Having Game Of Thrones Character Name
A six-year-old was denied a passport because her name, Khaleesi, is trademarked by Warner Brothers. Mother Lucy from England said her daughter’s passport application was denied because she was named after a Game of Thrones character. “I was absolutely devastated, we were so looking forward to our first holiday together,” Lucy said. She was planning a trip to Disneyland Paris when she received the devastating news. “I never thought you could trademark a name,” Lucy said. “If she could get a birth certificate, would something not have been flagged up then?” Fortunately, officials later contacted Lucy to apologize and said they would be able to process her documents.
