New Jersey Cop Charged After Visiting ATM, Pizzeria During Double Murder Investigation

Franklin Township Police Sergeant Kevin Bollaro faces misconduct charges for failing to properly investigate shooting reports on August 1st that resulted in a double murder. Prosecutors say Bollaro received 911 calls about gunshots and screaming in Pittstown but drove nearly two miles in the opposite direction to a bank ATM instead. GPS data shows he never visited caller locations before asking dispatchers to clear him from the scene. Bollaro then spent nearly an hour at Duke’s Pizzeria in Pittstown and roughly another hour at a second restaurant. The next day, bodies of Lauren Semanchik, 33, and Tyler Webb, 29, were discovered roughly 600 feet from the first caller’s location. New Jersey State Police Lieutenant Ricardo Santos had shot them before killing himself. Bollaro is charged with official misconduct and tampering with public records for false statements in his incident report. (Story URL)
