North Americans Set To Get Great View Of Blood Moon

Thursday night into Friday morning, North and South Americans will be able to see a total lunar eclipse! The Earth will cast a shadow that will block the moon. The last total lunar eclipse was in 2022. This “Blood Moon” will be visible for an hour starting 2:26 a.m. Eastern Time on Friday morning. For a lunar eclipse, no special eyewear is needed…unlike a solar eclipse. “As long as the sky is clear, you should be able to see it,” Shannon Schmoll of Abrams Planetarium at Michigan State University said. Unfortunately, people in Asia, Africa, and Europe will need to wait until March 2026 before they can see a lunar eclipse. (newser)
