Rare White Buffalo Spotted In National Park

A rare white buffalo has been spotted in Yellowstone National Park. The calf was first seen last week by photographer Erin Braaten. “I just knew it was something special and one of the coolest things I’ve ever photographed,” Braaten said. The birth of a white buffalo is of particular importance to the Lakota Sioux tribe. “The birth of this calf is both a blessing and warning. We must do more,” Chief Arvol Looking Horse said. Tribe members will hold a ceremony to celebrate the birth of the calf on June 26th. (The Guardian)
