Winner Forgot About Million-Dollar Lottery Ticket

A Rhode Island lottery player completely forgot about a Mega Millions ticket he purchased in February, and recently discovered that it was worth $1 million dollars. Ioannis Miaoulis decided to buy a ticket for the $333 million jackpot drawn on February 2nd. He then put it in a drawer and forgot about it for five months. Upon discovering the ticket, Miaoulis decided to save his winnings for retirement. He is presently the university president of Roger Williams University. (UPI)
