DUNLAP, Tenn. (WDEF) — In some areas north of Chattanooga, road conditions haven’t gotten much better. Icy roads are generating issues for first responders in areas such as Dunlap.

The Dunlap Fire Department on Thursday shared their complications with getting to a person’s home.

A woman fell and had possible fractures to her wrist and ankle. However, the ambulance could not make it up to the house because of road conditions.

Dunlap Rescue teams responded and made it to the house with the EMS crew.

First responders had to put the woman into a stokes basket and transport her down the hill to the ambulance.

The ambulance then transported her to a Chattanooga hospital.
