PIKEVILLE, Tenn. (WDEF) —  A Pikeville gas station is under investigation after authorities say illegal THC products were being accessed by local students.

The Bledsoe County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) executed a search warrant at the Sunoco gas station located within city limits.

The search warrant was executed due to multiple complaints from the community about students obtaining illicit tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) products from the store.

The Tennessee Dangerous Drugs Task Force assisted with the warrant, conducting on-site testing of various products suspected to contain illegal levels of THC.

In a statement, Sheriff Jimmy Morris emphasized the department’s commitment to protecting students and the wider community.

“The availability of these products to students will not be tolerated in Bledsoe County. We are committed to ensuring that illegal THC products are inaccessible within our county, and we will continue to work with our partners in law enforcement to stop their distribution.”

No arrests were announced at the time of this report, and the investigation is ongoing.
