In-N-Out burger chain opens first locations in Tennessee

LEBANON, Tennessee (WDEF) – One of the most popular fast food chains in country has made their Tennessee debut.

In-N-Out was born and became famous in California.

The chain has been slow to expand.

Tennessee becomes only the ninth state to get a location.

The first opened in Lebanon and Antioch outside of Nashville on Wednesday.

Customers began lining up at the drive-thru at the Lebanon location Wednesday night.

A third will open in Murfreesboro on Thursday.

In-N-Out has plans for more locations in Memphis, Mt. Juliet, Hendersonville and Madison.

So far, the chain is only in Texas and Tennessee in the south.

But that could be changing.

CEO Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson has moved her family and her headquarters to Nashville, calling it a more family-friendly environment than southern California.

So their Neopolitan shakes, Animal Style burgers, and four patty burgers may be coming our way in the near future.
