Injuries Taking Toll on Falcons Offensive Line
FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) – The Atlanta Falcons returned to practice with plenty of new faces on the first team.
A rash of injuries took out four starters this past weekend, forcing tight end Levine Toilolo to play right tackle in a loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
Center Joe Hawley and right tackle Lamar Holmes are done for the year, so there will be at least two new starters on the offensive line. Left guard Justin Blalock is questionable because of a back injury that kept him out of practice Wednesday.
Peter Konz will start for Hawley, while Gabe Carimi is slated to replace Holmes. If Blalock can’t go, Harland Gunn could get the start. He was just signed off the practice squad Tuesday.
The Falcons also signed Cameron Bradfield, a former starter in Jacksonville.
