Investigators suspect arson in morning fire

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Fire officials suspect arson in a house fire early Thursday morning in East Chattanooga.

They got the call to the home on North Chamberlain Avenue around 5:40 AM.

No one was living in the home at the time.

It was being used for storage.

Firefighters forced their way through the front door and quickly got the flames out.

A fire investigator says the cause of the fire is suspicious in nature.
