J and J Contractors begins pre-construction on Soddy Daisy Middle School

A local construction company has won the contract to renovate the Soddy Daisy Middle School.

The school was opened 65 years ago and is do for an upgrade to handle more students.

The plan is to build a new gym and upgrade existing spaces.

J and J Contractors says they have already begun pre-construction.

The full construction begins next fall with a goal to complete the renovation in three years.
