James Miller taken into custody by TBI

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – James Bryan Miller, who was added to the TBI’s “Top 10 Most Wanted” list earlier this week after a police chase on I-75, was taken into custody Saturday night.

According to the TBI, the US Marshals Task Force found Miller at the Ellie Plaza Apartment Complex in Hixson.

The TBI says that the Marshals tried to block Miller in; as he tried to flee the apartment complex, he collided with a Marshal vehicle but continued to try to flee.

Shots were fired by the Marshal Task Force, according to the TBI, and that incident is under investigation by the TBI.

The TBI says that Miller’s vehicle eventually stopped and he was taken into custody.

Miller was taken to a local hospital for evaluation. He nor any of the officers involved sustained serious injuries according to the TBI.

Miller was wanted to face charges including Aggravated Assault against police and Reckless Endangerment in connection the I-75 chase on August 1st. He was added to the TBI’s Top 10 list on August 3rd and taken into custody on August 6th.
