Jeff Eversole and Commission Approve Resolution to Reduce Speed Limits on Savannah and Wolftever Roads in Ooltewah

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Commissioner Jeff Eversole and the Hamilton County Commission have approved a resolution amending the County’s Master List of Roads and Speed Limits.

This would reduce the posted speed limit from 30 mph to 20 mph on Savannah Drive, Savannah Lane, Wolftever Lane and Wolftever Drive in Ooltewah.

This comes at the request of a concerned constituent.

The updated speed limits will take effect following the installation of new signage in the affected areas.

They say residents are encouraged to observe the new limits and help keep their neighborhoods safe.

“When a constituent reaches out with a legitimate concern about their neighborhood, it’s our responsibility to listen and take action. Reducing the speed limit in these residential communities is a very important step to protect families, improve pedestrian safety, and preserve the quality of life our residents expect and deserve.”
