Job opportunities for young adults in Hamilton County
HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF)-
Hamilton County was awarded a $8,000 grant to provide job opportunities for young adults.
County Mayor Weston Wamp and his office hope to help young people develop marketable skills.
That comes in the form of comprehensive job training.
Participants will be paid for their work.
“It’s a great opportunity it’s a win, win opportunity for kids and for employers to kind of bridge that gap nd help get kids in doing something positive during the summer months,” said Tucker McClendon Deputy Mayor of Education and Work Developmen.”Not just at home playing video game or out running the streets, but offers that opportunity.”
