More jobs in Dalton in August

DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – Unemployment in Dalton dropped below the 6% level in August.

The 5.9% is a four/tenths improvement from July.

State officials say Dalton gained 200 jobs in August, mostly in trade, transportation and warehousing, and school system work.

Dalton has gained 500 jobs so far in 2016.
